Curriculum Statement

New Curriculum 2014

Marlbrook, Little Dewchurch, St Martin's and Ewyas Harold Primary Schools.

Our schools are committed to meeting the requirements of the new primary curriculum from September 2014.  Our teachers have received training in the key areas of curriculum change and we are ready to provide outstanding curriculum provision.

The curriculum will be taught with the consideration of the needs of all learners.  Our curriculum will be engaging and will inspire children to nurture a passion through learning.

Across all 4 schools we use the Story Worlds Reading Scheme, in addition to Project X and All Aboard.

We use the "Letters and Sounds" approach to embed phonic skills, supplemented with Jolly Phonics.

At Marlbrook, St Martin's, Ewyas Harold and Little Dewchurch Primary School, the curriculum is taught through an ‘integrated’ approach which will allow us to ensure stimulating learning opportunities throughout the school.
